At 5ft Adventures, we understand that life can be unpredictable, sometimes plans need to change. If you find yourself needing to cancel your trip or course, please refer to our refund and cancellation policies outlined below. We strive to make the process smooth as possible for you. Cancellation Policy
Course Cancellation
To cancel your course, please send an email to annelise@5ftadventures.com with “Cancellation COURSE NAME” in the subject line. If you reschedule within 72 hours of the course, a $250 rescheduling fee will apply. For cancellations outside this timeframe, please inform us as soon as possible if you wish to reschedule.
Refund Fees:
If a refund is requested more than 72 hours before the start of class, $100.00 will be retained as a service fee. If a refund, or request to transfer to another class, is within 72 hours of the start date/time; there will be a $250.00 service fee. Once you have redeemed your online access code, we are unable to issue a refund for that portion.
Trip Cancellation
All cancellations must be sent to 5 FT ADVENTURES in writing by email to annelise@5ftadventures.com with “Cancellation YEAR Trip Name” in the subject line. Cancellation forfeiture fees are as below, with the “departure” being the first day of services provided by 5 FT ADVENTURES. There will be no refund once the trip has started, and no refund for unused services, early departures, late arrivals or missed days of your itinerary.
● 121-180 days prior to departure: 50% of the trip cost is forfeit
● 120 days or less prior to departure: 100% of the trip cost is forfeit
In some cases, if we can fill your spot we may be able to offer you a full or partial refund depending on circumstance.
Therefore, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU PURCHASE TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE. In the event that you must cancel your travel, trip cancellation insurance may be the only source of reimbursement due to the non
refundable policies of vendors. Most travel insurance policies require that insurance is purchased within 14 days of making your initial deposit in order to purchase Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) coverage, or to cover pre-existing conditions. Travel plans may be interrupted or canceled by a supplier, a governmental entity, or other third party of which are not foreseeable at this time. Please contact your insurance professional to discuss travel insurance if needed. Divers Alert Network (DAN) also offers travel, in addition to diving insurance.
